Farabow has been President of HR Associates PA, the successor firm to Holloway & Reeves, since 1984. For a time, the firm was located in Milton Small's former office at 105 Brooks Avenue, Raleigh NC. He moved to Kinston and Wilmington NC.

The John W. and Elizabeth Farabow Residence

727 Staley Court, Raleigh NC

Farabow was also the builder. The site overlooks Crabtree Creek and had vertical cypress siding. Sold in 1985 to Rene and Mary Miller. Sold in 1999 to David and Barbara Brumitt. Sold in 2003 to Barbara Wiedemann. Sold in 2016 to Bradlee W. Davis.
