Modern Coast: The NCModernist Wilmington Tour
Friday-Saturday, November 22-23

To get on the waiting list, write george@ncmodernist.org with the names, emails, and cells of the people wishing to attend. Specify the all-inclusive or the locals option.

Wilmington and Figure Eight Island are home to some of the state's best Modernist houses from the 1950's through today. Join NCModernist's merry band of architecture fans as we tour some amazing Modernist houses and enjoy the coast. Proceeds benefit NCModernist's work in the documentation, preservation, and promotion of residential Modernist architecture. NCModernist is a 501C3 nonprofit with 12 local, state, and national awards for historic preservation. There are two ways to enjoy the Tour!

1. All-Inclusive: breakfast and lunch both days; luxury bus transport with wifi; hotel, with wifi; and a wonderful outdoor Oyster Roast / BBQ dinner on Friday night at the offices of Michael Ross Kersting.

2. Local Option for Wilmington Residents: Join up with the NCModernist tour bus Friday afternoon and be returned to your car later that night. The next morning, join the NCModernist bus in North Wilmington and be returned to your car around noon. Sorry, following the bus in cars is prohibited.
