CRAIG JOHN KERINS, AIA (1979-)
Kerins grew up in Pennsylvania, Germany, then high school in Greenville NC. He received a BA in Architecture from UNC-Charlotte in 2004. Kerins relocated to Austin TX and worked for Hurt Partners Architects doing residential design. After this, he transitioned to design/build working with Jay Hargrave Architecture (formerly Cottam Hargrave) including the 5th Street, Clear Link, Kennan, Kinney, and West Lake residences.
Upon relocating to North Carolina in early 2012, Kerins obtained his General Contractor's license and co-founded The Raleigh Architecture Company and The Raleigh Construction Company with architect Robby Johnston. All houses below were built by Raleigh Construction unless otherwise indicated.
2012 - The Craig Kerins House and Shop Renovation, aka Red Shed, 4412 Hank Avenue, Austin TX. Commissioned 2008. Built by Kerins.
2012 - The Jedidiah Smith and Stacy Smith-Gant Residence Addition, 707 East Lane Street, Raleigh.
2013 - The Gregory Lowenhagen Residence Interior Renovation, 548 Jones Street, Raleigh.
2015 - The Worsham-Witsell Addition, 108 Glendale Drive, Chapel Hill. Unbuilt.
2013 - The Pham Residence Renovation, 101 Crimmons Circle, Cary. Commissioned 2012.
2013 - The Michael and Kristina Ozburn House Kitchen Renovation, aka Lochmore House, 2607 Lochmore Drive, Raleigh. Project architect Ashley Ozburn, daughter of the owners.
2014 - The Joseph (Joe) Kwon House, aka the Hungry Neck House, 562 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh. Commissioned 2013. Won a 2016 AIA Triangle Merit Award; 2016 Sir Walter Raleigh Award for Community Appearance; selected for the 2015 AIA Triangle Tour.
2015 - 612 Wynne Street, Raleigh. Spec house developed by Jason Queen. Sold in 2016 to Thomas Crichton.
2015 - 614 Wynne Street, Raleigh. Spec house developed by Jason Queen. Sold in 2016 to Matthew Gingrich.
2017 - The Christopher Barrett Residence, aka the BB Residence, 701 Beaver Dam Road, Raleigh.
2017 - The Lauren and Ben Wittenberg Residence, 500 Moseley, Raleigh.
2017 - The Bell/Lipson Residence, 2110 Banbury, Raleigh. Designed with Brett Hautop.
