Architect Rhonda Angerio grew up in Oceanport, New Jersey. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology in 1985. After working for Carl Mecky Architecture, Bentel & Bentel Architects, and WalkerGroup/CNI, she taught and attended Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. Angerio relocated to Raleigh in 1994 to work for Smith Sinnett Associates and set up her own practice, Angerio Design PLLC, in 2000. In the summer of 2011, she was named President of Smith Sinnett.

Rhonda will be at the house from 11am to 1pm!

The Fine Print

The tours run rain or shine. Tickets are not mailed; your name will be on a list at registration. Once payment is made, there are no refunds for any reason except for tour cancellation. However, you can transfer tickets to others - just have them ask for the tickets in your name at registration.

To protect floors, please remove shoes or bring booties before entering the house.

COVID: Masks are REQUIRED inside.  Please do not attend if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have tested positive within a week of the tour.

Tickets are by timed entry, except for VIP tickets which can come any time.  When you arrive, there may be a short wait, outside, if the house is at capacity. Participants must sign a liability waiver before entering. Architects can get self-reported CEU hours if arranged in advance with the AIA.

Participants are welcome to take photos inside and outside. Strollers are not allowed, but carried children are free.  No food, drink, or smoking inside. Please do not touch anything in the house. Bathrooms are not available onsite. Please contact George Smart, george@ncmodernist.org.
