JERRY MILLER (1932-) Born in Sanford NC, the 11th of 12 children. He attended Elon College then was drafted and sent to Germany, where he served in the 14th Armored Cavalry. He returned to NC in 1955 and graduated from NC State’s School of Design. After graduation, Miller began his own architecture firm, Jerry Miller Associates, which became the largest home designer in the Carolinas. He built a split-level house in the new Greenwood Forest community for his growing family, with two daughters, Julie and Jill. When a recession hit in the 1980's he turned to art, creating drawings of buildings across the state. He is one of the founders of the Cary Lazy Daze festival. Built by Howard Lynch. 1.02 acres. 2990 square feet. Sold in 1972 to Guy and Mamie Hubbard. Sold in 1978 to Hazel and James Ritchey. The house was damaged by water requiring an extensive restoration. Sold in 1994 to William and Cathryn Little. Sold in 2002 to Larsen and Nancy Isely. Sold in 2009 to Nathan and Tracy Sheaffer. Sold in 2014 to Susan Black and David Coman Holt. 1960 - The Howard L. Sold in 2020 to Will Ramsay. 1966 - The C. Hamilton and Ann Sloan House, 501 Spring Valley Drive, Raleigh NC. Renovated in the 1990s by Moore and Burton. Sold in 2004 to Randall and Susan Whitmeyer.
