DAVID SCOTT MAURER, AIA (1961-) Maurer was born in Lakewood OH. He graduated in 1979 from Princess Anne HS in Virginia Beach VA. He graduated in architecture in 1984 from Virginia Tech. He interned with Alpha Design Group/Ron Collier, Burnstudio/Norma Burns, Architectural Group/Jeff Davis, and Clearscapes, where he became an associate. He left in 1991 to get a Masters in Architecture at the University of Washington, graduating in 1992. He came back to Raleigh to open Maurer Architecture in 1993. In 2005, he incorporated Tightline Designs to focus on affordable housing. 2014 - The Susan L. Murray House, 2721 Silver Stirrup Lane, Apex NC. Project architect, Michael S. Morrison. Lautenschlager. 2018 - The Charles Long and Jody Schwartz House, 2315 Beechridge Road, Raleigh NC. Initial design by Maurer; completed by the builder.
