CLARK TATE, AIA

Clark Tate was born in.  He graduated from Georgia in Fine Arts in 1997, followed by a Masters in Architecture from UVA in 2006.  He interned with Out of Time Architecture in New York in 2006.  From 2006 to 2016, he worked for Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects in Atlanta, working on before co-founding Point Office in 2016,

2020 - The Chris and Allyson Cummings House, aka Brevard House, 226 Good Either Way, Brevard NC.  Built by Wheelhouse Builders; interiors by Kim Brown; photos, Michael Blevins. Won a 2023 AIA Atlanta Honor Award, 2024 Matsumoto Prize Jury Award, and a 2024 AIA Georgia Award. 

2023 - aka Alleghany County House, Roaring Gap NC. Built by Shaw Brothers; landscape design, Jeff Allen; structural engineering, Shear Structural; photos, Keith Isaacs; interiors, Liz Carroll Interiors.

2019 - aka Figure Eight House, Figure Eight Island, Wilmington NC.  Project architect, Matt Weaver.  4500sf.  Built by Parker Construction; interiors by Lee Kleinhelter; photos, Michael Blevins; structural, Uzun + Case; MEP/FP, Proficient Engineering; landscape, Classic Landscapes; lighting, Gabler Youngston. Won a 2019 AIA North Carolina Honor Award, 2019 AIA Atlanta Merit Award, 2020 Matsumoto Prize 1st Place Jury, 2020 AIA Georgia Merit Award, 2024 Georgia Design Silver Award, and was featured on the cover of Ocean Home magazine in 2025.
